The Facebook app rating on google play store has recently dropped from 4.0 to 2.4. Facebook is used for social networking. The app offers convenience and freedom to express yourself, but things have lately taken a turn for the worse. The app does not seem to promote freedom of speech and expressing an opinion, at least for Muslims, as people in South Asia, the Middle East, and Arab countries have noticed.
Facebook suspended or permanently blocked many accounts for criticising Israel’s military aggression against Palestinian Muslims.
Muslims all over the world are posting posts in favour of Palestine, and for unexplained reasons, some accounts have their posts flagged. This seems to be a trend not only on Facebook, but also on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook.
A one-star ranking on the Google Play store reflects the app’s low performance and users’ dissatisfaction.
