The federal government of Pakistan has approved three Covid-19 vaccines for emergency use in the region. Which includes Russia’s Sputnik-V, China’s Sinopharm, and the United Kingdom’s Oxford-AstraZeneca.
This is a step-by-step guide to getting immunized against the virus.
1st Step:
Citizens must register through sending their CNIC number to 1166 or by visiting the NIMS official website.
2nd Step:
Further to verification, the AVC (Adult Vaccine Centre) will send “Present Address” and PIN Code to the citizen through SMS.
3rd Step:
How to Change Vaccination Center If the designated AVC is outside the citizen’s current tehsil. He or she can change the designated health facility by visiting the NIMS web portal or calling the 1166 helpline within 5 days of receiving the first SMS.
4th Step:
When a vaccine is available at the Specified Vaccination Centre, an SMS will be sent to the person informing them of the appointment date for vaccine administration. Further to successful registration, the citizen should visit AVC on the date of appointment with their original CNIC and PIB Code.
5th Step:
The CNIC and PIN code will be confirmed by vaccination agents. The person will be vaccinated after successful verification. Vaccination agents will enter the information into NIMS after administering the vaccine, and an SMS confirmation message will be sent to the resident. The citizen will remain in the AVC for 30 minutes for post-inoculation monitoring.
